Amazon.com Review Drop a dime into the jukebox, press F2 for Fats Domino's "Blueberry Hill," and dreamily drift back to the '50s, when bobbysoxers and guys with ducktails or wearing white bucks (never, ever both) idled away after-school hours at the local drugstore's soda fountain sipping chocolate malts that had been churned to a smooth, frothy consistency by a mixer exactly like this one. Hamilton Beach's drink mixers began appearing at soda fountains in 1911; this 14-1/2-inch-high, 70-watt model, in creamy green, recalls Elvis's first decade. But it's 21st-century, too, blending fruit smoothies and health drinks as well as milk shakes and malted milks. Also use it to mix puddings and beat eggs for omelets. Two speeds offer mixing flexibility, and the tilting head makes it easy to remove the spindle for cleaning. Its professional-style, stainless-steel cup holds 28 ounces and is dishwasher-safe. --Fred Brack
Product Description Hamilton Beach 730C Classic DrinkMaster Drink Mixer - Before Peggy Sue and I got married, we used to hang out at the ice cream parlor and drink these delicious, thick milkshakes that were prepared on a device just like this. Mmmm! Were they yummy! Now it's your time to enjoy.

Malted milk maker July 9, 2008 Richard D. Johnston (New Mexico) I love it. Every afternoon, I make an ice cream malted milk dring and it tastes just like the ones I remember from the old ice cream store. It's well built and works great.
Excellent Product May 29, 2008 Stephen Hershman I am very pleased with this product. It is an excellent value for the price, very good looking & well made. Performs very well. I would definitely recommend this product.
Old Time Soda Shop Mixer May 27, 2008 Daniel M. Villanueva Purchased this mixer as a 13th birthday gift to my granddaughter. She LOVES malts and is delighted she can now make all her sodashop creations with her very own mixer.
Works Great March 28, 2008 Sue (Florida) I use it to mix protein shakes and it takes less than a minute to mix milk, soy milk, protein powder, and any other supplements I need into a great creamy milkshake. I've used a blender to do this for years. I must have been an idiot. The blender never produced the consistent creamy, thick consistency. Great Product for a cheap price.
Just get a blender March 25, 2008 Michael C. Caulder (Santa Monica, California USA) I received this for my wedding, in fact it was something I registered for. In nine years I've used it maybe twice. I was just digging it out of my closet to sell at a garage sale when it dawned on me that maybe I was using it wrong so I came to Amazon to read reviews and descriptions. Everything confirmed my memory. It seems like this would be a cool thing to make milkshakes in, it's not. You'd get better results (faster too) just using a spoon, with way less clean up. If you still have to have one, come to my garage sale and I'll sell it to you for a dollar O.B.O.
