Product Description The non-toxic oil inside this revolutionary Ice Cream Scoop transfers heat from the hand to the scoop, maintaining warmth so you can scoop even the hardest ice cream with ease.
Amazon.com Review From the outside, this looks like an average ice cream scoop. It's crafted from durable, polished nonstick aluminum, has a classic design, and fits comfortably in your hand. The secret ingredient, however, is so radical that Zeroll products have been displayed at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City: The handle is filled with a permanent, safe defrosting fluid that responds to the warmth of a hand. Hence the scoop cuts into even the hardest ice cream--and the ice cream will slide right off. So, stop bending spoons and start enjoying your dessert! --Ariel Meadow Stallings

10 STARS! Works like a HOT KNIFE through BUTTER ! July 25, 2007 Lil MamaKitty (Virginia Beach, VA United States) WOW! I will never go back to a non-Zeroll scoop again! I received this as a gift. This is the best scoop ever! We eat icecream almost every day in the warm months, which can be 8 months out of the year here. I have small weak hands with wrists that easily hurt from strain - this scoop is a godsend! It quickly scoops even the hardest icecream like a hot knife through butter! Even a child can dip their own with ease. If you like eating from cones, it makes a perfect rounded scoop for the top. I use the thick rounded handle to push icecream down into the cone first, for icecream all the way to the bottom. Rinses clean with running water and a quick wipe with a paper towel. Highly recommend!
Get The Scoop On Ice Cream May 8, 2007 Jon Kreisler (New York City, NY USA) Seriously, though, the Zeroll scoop is one of the best ice cream scoops on the market. I was pleasantly surprised the first time I dipped the scoop into a container of frozen-solid ice cream. It went through like the ice cream was softened butter. The ice cream handles nicely and slides off the scoop easily. The handle does get a bit cold to the touch after you have been scooping for awhile. Others have said the finish tends to wear off over time, onto your hands and ice cream, but I have not seen this yet (used almost every day for three months.) I do not use the dish washer for the Zeroll, just a warm water rinse cleans it nicely for the next use. For me, a better grip on the handle and a slightly larger scoop size would be about the only improvements I would make to this super scooper. It also works nicely as a melon-baller.
best ice cream scoop till the finish comes off October 9, 2004 Anita T. Morgan (Arvada, Colorado) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I also have had the ice cream scoop for around five years and noticed the finish comes off on your hands and ice cream. It worked better than any other scoop but it worries me about the way it doesn't last.
Shipping prices are ridiculous December 9, 2003 2 out of 19 found this review helpful
$9.95 on shipping for this item. I wish I would have realized that before I purchased, but it was in a large order. Give me a break. I won't buy from them again.
Good, but not the best November 18, 2003 Ashley Ellis (Ft Lauderdale, FL United States) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I have one of these ice cream scoops too (I have quite a collection, but I am a self-proclaimed icecreamaholic) and while I do like it, it's far from my favorite. I personally like the KitchenAid scooper much better. This one is good too though, and does slightly melt the ice cream which helps in scooping. I run mine through the dishwasher all the time and never had an issue. The nonstick surface is also really nice, it makes the ice cream slide off the scoop easily in to the bowl. Also, the feel of the handle is nice, though the grip isn't as good as some other scoopers - mine is slightly slippery while my KitchenAid scooper has a much firmer grip! I still give it 5 stars, it does its job well!
