Product Description Presto Fry Daddy Deep Fryer - Make delicious fries, chicken, onion rings and more! This family-sized fryer makes four big servings with just four cups of oil. The proper frying temperature is automatically maintained. Handy scoop stirs, separates, lifts, drains, and serves.
Amazon.com Review You don't need a 6- gallon oil vat to enjoy deep- fried foods at home--this petite deep fryer makes four big servings with just 4 cups of oil. A compact 7 inches in diameter, the fryer features easy controls for precision frying: it automatically maintains the proper frying temperature, letting you focus on cooking instead of fussing with the controls. The fryer features a snap-on lid, so you can store oil right in the fryer for reuse. All surfaces are nonstick for tidy cleanup (the fryer is not dishwasher-safe and should never be completely immersed in water). A hand scoop is included with the fryer for easy stirring, lifting, and draining, and the 120-volt AC cord unplugs from the outlet, while the attached handle makes the fryer easy to move around the kitchen. The fryer has a two-year limited warranty. --Ariel Meadow Stallings

functional but... October 6, 2008 txbeauty (dallas, tx) ...I still recommend a fryer with adjustable settings to avoid overcooking, a wire basket that is convenient. Other products with lower price has the above additonal features.
What We Wanted August 31, 2008 Ken K (Binghamton, NY USA) A simplistic approach to deep frying small amounts. For that purpose and this price, it's all you might need.
Good little fryer August 18, 2008 M. Cooper (Margate, FL USA) I owned one of these guys about 15 years ago but somehow lost track of it. I tried those plastic fryers with closable lids that are supposed to keep the smell inside but hated it. It was difficult to keep the outside clean, the filter got clogged and the smell came into the house anyway. So got rid of that and returned to this little guy. I don't fry that much anymore because the latest health reports are that you should not eat that much of it so this is reserved for those times where you just have to have french fries or deep fried fish. The advantage is that it is small and you don't have to use a lot of oil. The disadvantage is that it is small so you can only make a small amount. It is really smaller than I realized but that is what it is designed to be so I am not complaining about that. That magnetic safety plug is very safe. You surely wouldn't pull it down upon yourself but I did accidentally unplug it by just moving it over a little bit. Now I know how sensitive it is. It's good for once in a while useage so it is perfect for what I need. However, if you have a larger family you should buy something bigger. They have the Fry Grand Daddy or you could just get two of these and keep one for fish and one for other. Hey, I might just do that! I like it!
Best little fryer August 9, 2008 Scotty (Texas) This is a great little deep fat fryer. I have tried all the fancy T-Fal, De Longi brands and always come back to this one. It is small and only suitable for 2 - 3 people so if you have a bigger family you should get the GranPappy. I think you will be pleased with this as it is small enough to store in your fridge without having to empty the oil every time.
Perfect size July 27, 2008 Glenda J. Lewman (Seaside, CA) Bought this for a cajun fish fry. A line on the inside of the well indicates how much oil to put in which is about 1/3 of the depth. Heated quickly, thoroughly deep fried battered fish and corn fritters within a couple of minutes to a crispy golden brown. No problem with splatters or being popped with hot oil; just didn't stand real close. The ladle was surprisingly adequate for lifting the foods from the oil. Cleaned up real easily too. Am happy to have purchased it.
