Nice waffle maker until it stops working May 21, 2008 E. Moore (United States) I purchased the Waring Professional Waffle maker for my wife for a Christmas present. It worked for about a month then it stopped heating. I returned it to an authorized Waring service center and they sent me a refurbished replacement. The replacement waffle maker looked like it had been used a lot and then had a few new parts replaced on it. It was not the same quality as the original that I purchased. It was scratched, iron would not close, parts did not look like they fit etc. Also, they did not include the drip pan when they sent a replacement. If you purchase one just beware that you will not get anything close to a new replacement if it breaks. I may be looking at the Krups waffle maker now.
Restaurant-style waffles in your very own kitchen... May 15, 2008 M. Feathers (Virginia) I'll admit that this product exceeded what I had expected. First the appearance isn't bulky or unappealing, which is what I had pictured in my mind before it arrived. Actually, the brushed stainless steel and the size makes a nice display on the counter. So it blends well with other appliances you may have out. And the directions to use the waffle maker are very simple and using it is even easier. I love the selection dial. I can select the darkness of my waffle and the inside stays nice and fluffy; never dry. With the 1/2" waffle girds, the waffles do come out with the deepest pockets I have ever seen coming from a home-style waffle maker. I am really amazed at the quality and simplicity of the product. The waffles come right out, nice and thick, without having to pry them out. The waffle maker will beep 3 times when the waffles are done. And I love the drip tray for an easy clean-up should I overfill. But that is really hard to do, because it comes with a measuring cup to take the guessing out of the task. I have owned many waffle makers and have thrown them all out. I had actually given up the idea of ever owning another waffle maker, until I came across the Waring Pro. The only suggestion I have for Waring is the recipes that are inside the instruction booklet are far and few between. I did not like any of the suggested recipes. But that is such a minor detail. I really do love this waffle maker and would recommend it to anyone.
Too bad it doesn't work May 13, 2008 A. Foye 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used this product twice with perfect results. The third time I used the Waring Pro WMK300 Belgian Waffle Maker, it would not heat up. The power light turned on but it would not make a waffle. Today I have returned it for a refund and will not buy another after reading the reviews. It seems that the latest reviews (those bought recently) are all bad. My daughter has one, which she purchased three years ago, and it is still making great waffles. I can't help but wonder where this product is being manufactured and why has the quality changed so much in the last couple of years? What a disappointment!
It Worked 3 Times and Than It Died May 10, 2008 Kim Ngo (Downey, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We used this waffle maker 3 times and we loved it. Fresh waffles just like those in nice hotels etc. The 4th time it wouldn't heat up and we started searching for answers and realized that A LOT of people had the same problem. I would not recommend this product but I am not sure you have a lot of alternatives here so if you buy it, make sure you use it a lot before the 1 year mark in case you need to have it fixed. Otherwise you will get stuck with a cold waffle maker...
Great Waffles, not so great machine... May 9, 2008 R. Keesaman (St. Joseph, MO United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The waffles this machine cranks out are wonderful! When it works. I've read many reviews about problems with the heating element stopping after a certain amount of uses and I thought I'd take the risk. I too had the same problem not more than 2 months after owning the iron. I ordered another one as a replacement, which I must say Amazon was wonderful about, and the new one also had problems. The new iron's timer didn't work and the lights and alarm went off intermitently. I'm pretty dissapointed because we were really looking forward to a great waffle maker!
