5 out of 5 stars Just what we were looking for   May 16, 2008

My mom was in search of a space-conscious, even-cooking, budget-friendly Beligan Waffler with adjustable heat and this is exactly it. I searched a little for a few options and this one has the best reviews on Chowhound (Chowhounders don't lie). Not much of a kitchen gadget person, she was able to pull this out of the box and make a tasty waffle in 10 minutes, without that weird "new iron" smell. It's the gift that keeps on giving...

5 out of 5 stars Delicious!   April 25, 2008

This belgian waffle maker makes great waffles. It's hard to find round waffle makers that make deep traditional style belgian waffles, and this does just that. The appliance is a little heavy, but to me, that's a sign of good quality. I definetly recommend.

5 out of 5 stars A great choice   April 12, 2008

This waffle maker is a great choice! I owned one many years ago and recently bought a second one. It cooks waffles evenly with very nice browning on the higher heat settings. You don't have to hover over the unit guessing if the waffle iron is hot enough or if your waffle is done, because the unit has a READY indicator light and a convenient beep. The only time I've ever had a waffle stick is when I overfilled the unit. The unit is also very easy to clean. It comes with a few recipes, but I always us Alton Brown's Basic Waffle recipe from the Food Network website with great success. Stop waffling about which model to buy--this one is a great choice!

4 out of 5 stars If you like thick waffles   April 4, 2008

If you like thick waffles then this is a good one to buy. It heats up quickly and beeps when ready. It beeps to tell you when the waffle is done. I like the beep. I saw Alton use this too and that's why I got it. If it is good enough for "W", then it is good enough for me.

4 out of 5 stars Almost perfect   February 28, 2008

Our new VillaWare waffle maker makes brunch time tasty. Its best features are its space-saving size, lightweight, attractive design, and its consistent, even cooking--nothing sticks to the grids. My only negative comment is that I don't think it cooks long enough even on its highest setting. This is remedied by leaving the waffle in a bit longer than the timer suggests, but then, what's the point in having the timer? Still, I would recommend this waffle maker.
