Great design, great look, works like it advertises. Comes with an instructional DVD that offers even more ideas on uses like closing chip bags and making waterproof bags for camping. Worth every penny if you like to buy food in bulk.

This is my second FoodSaver. (I wore out an older model.) This newer version is quieter, faster, and easier to use. Its flip-up design saves space and it looks great. Operation is simple making it a pleasure to use. Food stays fresh many times longer than ordinary storage. Bags can be used in the pantry, the fridge or freezer. Canisters are available for the pantry and fridge. The extra freshness and longevity of vaccum sealed foods will make you want to use this on just about everything. You can even save money by buying in bulk. And, you don't have to run out of things or make frequent trips to the store in order to have fresh tasting foods. Read instructions carefully to get the most out of this product. (Of course, this is true with all products:-)

So far only used my foodsaver once, so don't know how reliable of a product it is. I love using it and all the space it has saved in my freezer. I would definitely buy it again. After getting the hang of it initially, the product is very easy to use. I like using the rolls instead of ready made bags, so that I can customize the size and not waste any of the plastic. It's not a small appliance, but it doesn't take up much space, especially when folded up. I love it so far!

I purchased this item on Amazon at a sale price of $103.00. This is my first food sealer and I am extremely happy with it. I was amazed watching do it's job. The only thing that frustrated me a little was putting the pieces of the unit together after opening the box. It does not come with very good detailed instructions. I was not sure what direction the vacuum bar went in. It stores easily in the corner on the counter or shelf, and looks sleek and modern. Perfect item for anyone who enjoys fishing, hunting and gardening and desires to freeze their foods for up to two years. No more freezer burn and throwing away hundreds of dollars worth of food. You can also purchase a variety of attachments that will also be wonderful to have along with this gadget.
