Product Description Great food takes time? something you just don't have. KitchenAid's patient slow cooker does most of the work for you, gently heating the most tender roasts and sumptuous stews you've ever tasted. Just fill the 7-quart ceramic pot with your favorite ingredients, program the 10-hour timer with digital display and let the 400-watt heating element slowly simmer your meal to perfection. The 5-setting cook and serve control keeps food warm until it's ready to serve. Hassle-free one-year replacement warranty.

ANOTHER cracked crock!!! October 2, 2008 A. Jack (Idaho) Okay, my 4th crock insert has cracked! I have been told by Kitchenaid that they had a "bad batch of crocks" but going thru 4 in a year??? They have been great in the fact that they keep replacing it but I finally said that I am thru and they are giving me a credit towards other Kitchenaid merchandise. I am on the hunt for another crock... Love the features of this slow cooker, but without a functional crock, they are not much good...
Great Product September 28, 2008 Ruben Crismariu (IL USA) At first I was a little reluctant to purchase this crock pot because of some of the negative reviews with the pots being warped and the lids not fitting or the pot cracking while cooking. I didn't have any of those problems. The lid fits fine; I've had the crock-pot for a month now and used it several times and it works great.
cracked after one year September 15, 2008 Denise D Cook 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Haven't used this slow cooker more than half a dozen times with good results, until our last usage, where we heard a resounding CRACK-after removing the pot roast and veggies-discovered a long crack running from the bottom and up the side of the ceramic pot.
Another Cracked Pot September 13, 2008 A. Heintz (NY, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I now realize this is a common problem, but I just loaded up my crock pot with fresh tomatoes only to smell a burning smell 5 minutes later and find a tiny hair line crack along the bottom, leaking tomato sauce out all over. I called Kitchenaid for a replacement but since it was a Christmas gift I don't have the receipt and they won't replace a thing. What a terrible company and a terrible product, I will not purchase Kitchen Aid again.
Keeps on Cracking September 13, 2008 Ode Young (Kerrville, TX) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have been using the Kitchenaid Slow Cooker for almost a year. Bought it because of the programmable cooking options. Found small crack on the first pot after dozen meals. Company replaced canister. Cracked again... Company replace the whole unit, and after one meal, bigger crack. I just feel there is an intrinsic problem with how the ceramic pot is fired. Made in the USA? I don't think so. Customer service for Kitchenaid was very helpful...
